Would you like to work in a progressive HR and Payroll department? The department is part of the Administrative Division, and the next manager is the HR Manager. This fantastic department consists of an 11-strong team that tackles a variety of tasks every day, working together to provide excellent service in relation to HR and payroll. We are now looking for a Payroll Advisor to join our team, and we are seeking an individual who is numerate and has experience in payroll processing. It is a distinct advantage if you enjoy data analysis and find it exciting to develop, with us, PowerBI reports and other tools that we currently use.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- General payroll processing and registrations in the payroll and HR system Kjarna
- Review and preparation of data related to payroll processing
- Improvement and development work in Kjarna and Vinnustund
- Guidance and advice for managers on pay and remuneration matters
- Drawing up employment contracts
- Contributing to the preparation of reports for management on pay and remuneration matters.
- Creation of guidance and educational materials related to payroll.
- Other duties as described in the job description
Educational and competency requirements:
- University education (B.A/B.S)
- Experience in a comparable role, with payroll and salary processing.
- Knowledge and experience of payroll and timekeeping systems
- Knowledge of the remuneration system Core advantage
- Independence and organisational skills
- Service-minded and positive attitude
- Good command of Icelandic and English
- Meticulous in work methods and numerate

The salary is in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between the Federation of Icelandic Municipalities and Viska.
