Fjárhagsáætlun Hafnarfjarðarbæjar fyrir árið 2017 var samþykkt á fundi bæjarstjórnar í dag. Aðgerðir sveitarfélagsins hafa það að leiðarljósi að auka þjónustu, efla viðhald og framkvæmdir, draga úr álögum á íbúa, greiða niður skuldir og fjárfesta fyrir eigið fé. Þannig hefur Hafnarfjarðarbæ tekist að bæta rekstur sveitarfélagsins umtalsvert á stuttum tíma, frá rekstrarhalla árið 2015 í jákvæða rekstrarniðurstöðu 2016 samkvæmt útkomuspá og áætlaðan rekstrarafgang upp á 554,4 milljónir króna í lok árs 2017.
