He graduated from the Iceland Academy of the Arts in 2010 and has steadily developed his techniques and subject matter ever since.\n<\/p>\n<p>Ragnar's approach to painting is somewhat traditional, working in oil on large surfaces. The works depict distorted human figures in an enigmatic environment, painted in muted and hazy colours.\n<\/p>\n<p>He has held three solo exhibitions in Reykjav\u00edk in recent years, as well as taking part in group exhibitions. Last year, Ragnar received a grant from the Svavar Gu\u00f0nason and \u00c1sta Eir\u00edksd\u00f3ttir Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition<em>Alternative colours<\/em>\u00a0is characterised by a splash of colour and a joy in storytelling. Bright and vibrant colours are prominent in the exhibition, highlighting the artists' fearlessness and unvarnished expression.\n<\/p>\n<p>The works in the exhibition are united by their abundance of colours and forms, reflecting the spirit of the 21st century, where an excess of information fills every moment. In the works, the intricate worlds of different artists interact, where objects and beings run riot.<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition features new works by Gabr\u00edela Fri\u00f0riksd\u00f3ttir, Gu\u00f0mund Thoroddsen, Helgi \u00de\u00f3rsson, Hulda Vilhj\u00e1lmsd\u00f3ttir, Ragnar \u00de\u00f3risson, \u00deorvald J\u00f3nsson and \u00de\u00f3rd\u00eds A\u00f0alsteinsd\u00f3ttir.
