15 Bjartmar on Bright Days<\/strong>.Opening of the painting exhibition \u201eThe Orchestra of the House\u201c by Bjartmar Gu\u00f0laugsson in the foyer of B\u00e6jarb\u00ed\u00f3. The exhibition will be on display at B\u00e6jarb\u00ed\u00f3 from now until 26 April. Open from 1 pm to 5 pm, admission free.<\/p>\n

The musician and painter Bjartmar Gu\u00f0laugsson will be at Bj\u00f6rtir dagar in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur. <\/p>\n

The exhibition will be in the foyer of the B\u00e6jarb\u00ed\u00f3 cinema on Strandgata and of course, everyone is welcome.<\/p>\n

Bjartmar's artistic career began in his youth at the Vestmannaeyjar Art School under P\u00e1ll Steingr\u00edmsson, Magn\u00fas \u00c1. \u00c1rnason, \u00de\u00f3r\u00f0ur Ben Sveinsson and Sigurfinnur Sigurfinnsson from Fagradal. Bjartmar studied fine art in Odense, Denmark, under Bendt Veber, rector of the Det Fynske Kunstakademi, from 1992 to 1997, ran a studio there and took part in the Danish art scene with numerous exhibitions.\u00a0 In 2011, Bjartmar published the book \u201cH\u00e1seta vantar \u00e1 b\u00e1t\u201c to mark the Festival of the Sea, featuring poems, short stories and pictures. Bjartmar has exhibited widely across the country, most recently at the Goslokah\u00e1t\u00ed\u00f0 in the Westman Islands in 2013.<\/p>\n

17 A Townscape in Bright Days \u2013 opening at Hafnarborg<\/strong>. On the first day of summer, we showcase Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur in the beautiful costumes of Snorri \u00de\u00f3r Tryggvason and P\u00e9tur Stef\u00e1nsson. They are the creators of a highly detailed hand-drawn map of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur's town centre. The map shows the houses, vegetation and landscape of the town.\u00a0 It consists of 30 watercolour paintings created over a six-month period. These original watercolours will now be on display and for sale in the Hafnarborg museum shop, in collaboration with Spark, a design gallery, from 23 April to 18 June. <\/p>\n
