Participants include G\u00edsli G\u00edslason, Harbour Master of Faxafl\u00f3ahafnir; Anna Mar\u00eda Bogad\u00f3ttir, architect; and businessman R\u00f3bert Gu\u00f0finnsson from Siglufj\u00f6r\u00f0ur. The discussion will be led by Hj\u00e1lmar Sveinsson, Reykjav\u00edk City Councillor and Chair of the Environment and Planning Committee.<\/p>\n<p>The seminar is held in connection with the exhibition. <em>Your place, our environment at Flensburg Harbour<\/em> but it is an open workshop about a new layout at Flensburg Harbour<em>.<\/em> In Sverris Hall at Hafnarborg, visitors can view a large-scale plan of Flensborg Harbour and use it as a basis for their own ideas. There are also older maps and plans, photographs, reports and various other documents relating to the planning of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur around the harbour. The workshop relates to the City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur's preparatory work for a new plan for the area around the marina, which is defined as a mix of a harbour area and a retail and service area. Residents and others will have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the reports and other material used in the planning process, and to submit their ideas.<\/p>\n<p>In conjunction with the workshop, there will be a varied programme of events aimed at fostering discussion and presenting the principles of planning. Walking tours of the town will be organised, and presentations and open meetings will be held. The programme is packed, and people are encouraged to take this unique opportunity to increase their understanding and knowledge and to voice their opinions.<\/p>\n<p>&#160;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Upcoming events:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday 4 June at 8 pm<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Flensburg Harbour \u2013 social life and industry<\/p>\n<p>Magnea Gu\u00f0mundsd\u00f3ttir, project manager for the planning process and an employee of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Harbour, will lead a walk around the area. Operators in the area will take part and give presentations. The walk will start from Hafnarborg.<\/p>\n<p>&#160;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sunday 7th June at 4 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>Seafarers' Day<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Olafur Ingi T\u00f3masson, chairman of the Planning and Building Committee, reports on the planning work for the small boat harbour.<\/p>\n<p>&#160;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday 11 June at 5 pm<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A dialogue between designers and residents about the planning of Flensburg Harbour.<\/p>\n<p>The project is overseen by <strong>Magnea Gu\u00f0mundsd\u00f3ttir<\/strong> an architect, she has worked on the planning of Flensborg Harbour for the Planning and Building Department of the City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur.
