Hrund is qualified as an educator (<em>pedagogue<\/em> from Holstebro P\u00e6dagogseminarium in Denmark and also completed a B.Ed. degree at the University of Iceland's College of Education. In June last year, she graduated from the University of Iceland with a Master's degree in Human Resource Management.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Hrund has extensive experience in management roles within nurseries. She has, among other positions, worked as a department head, special education manager, deputy headteacher and headteacher. She now works as a project manager.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Hildur Sigurbj\u00f6rnsd\u00f3ttir has been the day-care officer since 2002 but has been on leave since last autumn and has now decided to resign.
