Participation is free of charge.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thursday, 9th July at 8 p.m.<\/strong> We will walk in the footsteps of the artist Hanna Dav\u00ed\u00f0sson, who began her household in the S\u00edvertsen House in 1912. The house, which is considered the oldest in the town, is now part of the Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Folk Museum. We will hear about the places that inspired Hanna's art, and the walk will conclude with a visit to the Fr\u00edkirkjan in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, where Hanna's works hold a special place.<\/p>\n<p>The walk will be <strong>from the Packhouse of the Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Folk Museum<\/strong> at 6 West Street.<\/p>\n<p>\u00d3l\u00f6f K. Sigur\u00f0ard\u00f3ttir, director of Hafnarborg, leads the walk along with Hulda Cathincu Gu\u00f0mundsd\u00f3ttir, Hanna's granddaughter. \u00d3l\u00f6f worked on an exhibition of Hanna's work, which was held at Hafnarborg at the beginning of the year, drawing attention to the work of this dedicated artist who lived and worked in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur all her life.<\/p>\n<p>The Summer Walks are a collaboration between the City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, the Folk Museum, the Library and the Office of Cultural Affairs in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur.
