The exhibition<br \/>\n<em>The world without us<\/em> The exhibition currently on display in the museum was selected from notable proposals submitted last year.<\/p>\n<p> The aim of inviting submissions is to have the opportunity to select a curator with an interesting exhibition proposal, whilst also giving a platform to new talent. Particular attention is paid to providing opportunities for curators with a short career history. It has proven that there is every reason to maintain such a project, as it has resulted in diverse and interesting exhibitions that have attracted attention and been well attended.<br \/>\n<br \/> &nbsp;<br \/>\n<br \/> Proposals are invited for group exhibitions where the theme, working method or other ideas connect the artists' works. Exhibitions that involve an analysis or a perspective on the work of a specific artist are also considered. Exhibitions of works by contemporary artists and exhibitions involving historical analysis are equally considered. &nbsp;<br \/>\n<br \/> &nbsp;<br \/>\n<br \/> The deadline for submitting proposals is Monday.<br \/>\n<strong>12 October 2015<\/strong>. Only electronic submissions are accepted at the email address<br \/>\n<a class=\"mailto\" href=\"mailto:haust2016@hafnarfjordur.is\">haust2016@hafnarfjordur.is<\/a><br \/>\n<br \/> &nbsp;<br \/>\n<br \/>In 2011, the autumn exhibition series began with the exhibition<br \/>\n<em>For now<\/em> The exhibition, which was produced by the anthropologist \u00d3l\u00f6f Ger\u00f0ur Sigf\u00fasd\u00f3ttir in 2012, was set up.<br \/>\n<em>Ski Area<\/em> Curated by art historian Gu\u00f0ni T\u00f3masson, and cultural scholar and architect Anna Mar\u00eda Bogad\u00f3ttir.<br \/>\n<em>Points \u2013 the houses in the house<\/em> in 2013. In 2014, the idea for the exhibition was by Helga \u00de\u00f3rsd\u00f3ttir, a cultural studies scholar and visual artist.<br \/>\n<em>Channel<\/em> chosen from interesting proposals. In 2015, A\u00f0alhei\u00f0ur Valgeirsd\u00f3ttir and Ald\u00eds Arnard\u00f3ttir had a proposal for an exhibition that was selected, and the exhibition is titled<br \/>\n<em>The world without us<\/em> &nbsp;bringing together Icelandic artists who work with ideas of the universe in their works and shed light on certain aspects of it. As before, the proposals came from people from various sectors, artists and academics from different fields, but also from people with specialist training in curatorial practice. With the autumn exhibition series, Hafnarborg aims to create a channel for interesting ideas, making the museum a platform where visual art can flourish, shaped by diverse perspectives and themes.
