{"id":12847,"date":"2015-10-28T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2015-10-28T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hafnarfjordur.is\/anaegja-med-samstarfid-vid-logregluna\/"},"modified":"2022-10-25T08:58:51","modified_gmt":"2022-10-25T08:58:51","slug":"satisfaction-with-the-cooperation-with-the-police","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hafnarfjordur.is\/en\/anaegja-med-samstarfid-vid-logregluna\/","title":{"rendered":"Satisfaction with the cooperation with the police"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At an annual meeting with key personnel in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, Sigr\u00ed\u00f0ur Bj\u00f6rk Gu\u00f0j\u00f3nsd\u00f3ttir, the Chief Constable of the Capital Region, reviewed the police force's projects, and Margeir Sveinsson, Assistant Chief Constable, reviewed the situation and crime trends in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur.<\/p>\n<p>Generally, the trend in crime in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur is stable, but the number of reported burglaries is decreasing. Due to a joint effort by the police and the City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur against domestic violence, the number of reported violent offences is increasing, but the meeting revealed great satisfaction among attendees with the collaboration. The aim of the campaign is to send a clear message that domestic violence will not be tolerated, and new procedures for the police and social services ensure a targeted response to such cases.<\/p>\n<p>Traffic accidents have also increased; so far this year, 145 accidents have been reported, the majority of which are on the Reykjanesbraut.
