Christmas is approaching, and the time is coming around again to put up Christmas lights and decorations. The Head Gardener is looking for fir trees in gardens that may have outlived their usefulness there.<\/p>\n

Pine trees can become very tall and often take up a considerable amount of space, and removing such trees can be costly for the homeowner. It was therefore decided to kill two birds with one stone by having the town offer such exchanges.<\/p>\n

Staff from the Service Centre will attend the site, fell the tree and then remove it for the garden owners free of charge, so that the tree can be used as a source of joy during the Advent season.<\/p>\n

The conditions are that the tree must have reached a height of at least five metres, that its growth habit is good, i.e. that the tree is well-branched all the way around and that it is easy to get to in order to fell it at ground level. \u00a0The trees will be felled and erected in pre-determined locations in November.<\/p>\n
