An ambitious literacy project, 'Reading is the Game of Life', is in full swing in the town's nursery and primary schools, and one of the conditions for its success is that there is a sufficient supply of books within the schools.<\/p>\n<p>The Education Committee proposed at its meeting this week an increase of 50% in the budget for purchasing books for nurseries and primary schools, for buying craft materials, and for the Children's Film and Book Festival, totalling 3.6 million kr\u00f3na.
