\u00c1sa Sigr\u00ed\u00f0ur \u00de\u00f3risd\u00f3ttir has been appointed managing director of the new Marketing Office of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur. \u00c1sa was selected from a field of around thirty applicants.<\/p>\n

\u00c1sa has extensive experience in project management, marketing, communications management and training, having spent the last five years as a project manager for professional and marketing affairs at BHM. Prior to this, she worked at Visit Reykjav\u00edk on a variety of projects in the tourism sector. \u00c1sa Sigr\u00ed\u00f0ur holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Iceland.<\/p>\n
\u00c1sa will take over the day-to-day running of the Marketing Bureau of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur from mid-February, as the bureau was formally established in the autumn. The agency already has a diverse range of projects on its agenda, including strategy development, contributing to the strengthening of tourism in the town, attracting new businesses and, not least, assisting existing companies with a wide variety of tasks.<\/p>\n
