The average price for day care across all municipalities is 19,402 kr., whereas the price in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur is 17,311 kr.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>At the start of the year, the AS\u00cd Price Surveillance Department investigated changes to fee schedules for school-age day care, including refreshments and lunch, in the fifteen most populous municipalities in the country. Twelve of the fifteen municipalities have increased their fee schedule for day care with refreshments year-on-year. This also applies to the City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, which increased its fee schedule by 4.51%, in line with increases across the board and thus in line with changes in prices and wages. The City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur did not increase its fees at the turn of the year 2014-2015 and this year, despite the increase, has the second-lowest fees for school-age childcare in the Greater Reykjav\u00edk Area.
