For us adults, it is a great pleasure to see these little and slightly bigger treasures singing and playing, much to the delight of themselves and others.<\/p>\n<h4>Ash Wednesday in the local area \u2013 a shortened day at schools<\/h4>\n<p>All children in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur will experience Ash Wednesday festivities in their local area this year, just as they did last year, as it is a format that has proved very successful. In Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur's primary schools, the school day is shortened and the school routine is broken up with fun activities.\u00a0Each school organises its own programme. The after-school clubs run a programme of entertainment for the children attending.
