All children born in March<br \/>\n2014 was then allocated a place from and including 1 February 2016. For the first time now in<br \/>\nChildren are admitted twice a year. <\/em><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>With<br \/>\nbudget<em> <\/em>Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur's for<br \/>\nIn 2016, it was decided to move<br \/>\nThe entry age for children in nursery school is lowered by a further month, to 1 August.<br \/>\nShortly, all children born in January, February and March 2015 will be admitted to the town's nurseries. Then, on 1 February 2017, it is expected that<br \/>\nAdmit children born in April 2015. The City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur currently subsidises day-care fees.<br \/>\nof children with childminders and, in addition, parents can apply for a subsidy.<br \/>\nUpon completion of maternity leave due to care from a provider other than a day-care provider, provided that the set conditions have been met.<br \/>\nconditions. When children reach the age of 18 months, subsidies to<br \/>\ndaycare parents, amounting to 40%, to reduce the share of parents who are waiting for<br \/>\nnursery place. Payments cease<br \/>\nas soon as a child has received an offer of a nursery school place. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Day-care parents who<br \/>\nProviders of day care for children are independent. Education and leisure services<br \/>\nThe City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur handles licensing, provides advice to childminders and ensures<br \/>\non the supervision of the activities in accordance with a Ministry of Social Affairs regulation from 2005.<br \/>\nThe choice of a day-care provider is the responsibility of the parents, and day-care providers are free to choose which<br \/>\nthe form and the priority they set regarding admissions. The City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur tries to<br \/>\nto provide guidance and advice on these matters, but the final decision rests with<br \/>\nto the day-care provider themselves. The aim is to increase cooperation with day-care providers on registration<br \/>\nchildren on a waiting list.
