Sk\u00edma, the magazine of the Association of Mother Tongue Teachers, recently visited the nursery school. Lakeside pillar<\/a> in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur and was given an introduction to the operations and the interesting and constructive development projects currently underway within the nursery.  <\/p>\n

The interview in the nurseries: Tjarnar\u00e1s Nursery School<\/h4>\n

It's lovely to come into the Tjarnar\u00e1s nursery school because it's bustling with activity.
\nfull of life and cheerfulness. The children have plenty to keep them busy and the joy of play is not
\na long way off. Nursery school teachers encourage the children to connect words and things.
\nand nouns therefore adorn everything in sight indoors. All learning goes
\nsteps in and grabs every opportunity that arises in day-to-day work to
\nto implement any kind of knowledge. For example, one could mention get-togethers where
\nThe children sing, listen, rhyme and more. Then there is the outdoor play where words are
\nConnected to something tangible. The changing room is also a good place to learn.
\n\u201e\u201cGet the red jumper\u201c, 'hang up the brown coat'. It works with the concepts of virtue and
\nThe children learn to treat each other with consideration and respect.<\/p>\n

When the foundation was laid for the development project in Tjarnar\u00e1si
\nparents were encouraged to apply for library cards for their children. Great
\nThere was an increase in visits to the museum and a large proportion of the children said that for them
\nwould be read most evenings of the week.<\/p>\n

Every day, the children receive literacy and language stimulation in some form.
\npicture. The book \u201eLubbi finds a bone\u201c <\/em>opens
\nto the world of sounds and letters. Each week, the children learn one sound,
\nexamine where Lubbi goes and the children are extremely interested in land and sound. In the application
