At the beginning of the year
\nInput was requested from residents and other interested parties on the subject of
\nthe City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur's equality policy and equality plan. A new plan is now before us, and work on the equality policy is also well underway. The aim of
\nThe City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur's equality plan is to promote gender equality and to
\nGender and equality perspectives will be integrated into all the council's activities.
\nThe action plan is based on the Act on Equality between Women and Men and
\nthe equality policy of the City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, which was approved by the City Council on the 1st.
\nFebruary 2012 and the European Charter on the Equal Status of Women and Men in Local Authorities
\nand regions which were signed in 2008.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
An equality plan addresses, among other things, the following aspects:<\/b><\/p>\n<\/p>\n\n
\nFurther education<\/li>\n
\nFamily life and working life<\/li>\n
\nGender-based violence and bullying<\/li>\n
\nOpportunities for people with different abilities increased<\/li>\n
\nthe town's work<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/p>\n
