This concerns 125 gardens, the size of the gardens<br \/>\nis about 40<strong> <\/strong>square metres. Tenants of the 2015 allotments have priority to rent the same allotments as last year, provided payment is made by 1 May. The 2016 rent for each allotment is 4,207 kr\u00f3nur.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur municipality is responsible for various tasks concerning the allotments:<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Review markings<\/li>\n<li>Ploughing\/tilling of garden plots<\/li>\n<li>Clear up the large boulders and remove them from the gardens.<\/li>\n<li>Regularly top up the water troughs located by the gardens.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Every two to three years, manure is spread in the gardens alongside ploughing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/p>\n<p>The allotments are ploughed between 5th and 15th May each year, depending on the weather.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p>Allotment allocation and payment for plots take place at the Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Service Centre on the ground floor at Strandgata 6.
