There are twelve working hours per week.\u00a0<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n<p>This summer, young people aged 14\u201316 have the opportunity to work at the Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Youth Work Programme. The jobs are varied and all of them are related to environmental issues, namely the cleaning and beautification of our town when it is at its most beautiful. Working hours per week are twelve, with shifts alternating before and after lunch each week, from 9 am to 12 pm and from 1 pm to 4 pm.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Salary and application process<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The wages for 14-16 year-olds at the Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Summer Job Scheme were recently increased by 15%. \u00a0Sixteen-year-olds are paid 625.49 kr per hour, plus holiday pay on top of that. All things considered, teenagers of this age can earn almost 50,000 kr over the summer, assuming full attendance.<strong>\u00a0 <\/strong>It is very important that 16-year-olds let us know if they intend to use their tax card so that they are not taxed. Fifteen-year-olds will be paid 470.46 kr. per hour, plus holiday pay on top of that. Based on full attendance, they can earn just over 37,000 kr. Fourteen-year-olds will be paid 416.38 kr per hour, plus holiday pay. Based on full attendance, their total earnings will be around 33,000 kr.<em>\u00a0<\/em>Annual leave (10.171 TP3T) is paid out to all age groups. Wages will be paid on 6 July for June and on 5 August for July. The staff of the Work School play an important role in creating an attractive appearance for the town, ensuring it looks clean and tidy for residents and the increasing number of tourists who visit.
