L\u00fa\u00f0v\u00edk sat on the harbour board from<br \/>\n1986-90 and from 1994-2010, as chairman of the harbour board from 2013-14 and was harbour master<br \/>\nHafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Harbour, whilst also serving as mayor from 2002-2004.&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Harbour Board agreed at its meeting this morning to appoint Ludv\u00edk<br \/>\nGeirsson as harbour master. That was the assessment of the selection committee, which was appointed by the harbour board.<br \/>\nregarding the appointment, that Ludvik best fulfils them on an objective basis<br \/>\nthe most important aspects in the requirements made of applicants. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" data-src=\"https:\/\/hafnarfjordur.is\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/nvh29auw.jpg\" alt=\"LudvikGerisson\" src=\"data:image\/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyB3aWR0aD0iMSIgaGVpZ2h0PSIxIiB4bWxucz0iaHR0cDovL3d3dy53My5vcmcvMjAwMC9zdmciPjwvc3ZnPg==\" class=\"lazyload\" style=\"--smush-placeholder-width: 578px; --smush-placeholder-aspect-ratio: 578\/434;\"><\/p>\n<p><strong>Knowledge of position and<br \/>\noperation of the Port of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ludwig was the mayor of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur from 2002-2010 and dealt with<br \/>\nat that time, an active part in the planning and development of the Port of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur in<br \/>\nin cooperation with the harbour board and the harbour master. He was chairman of the anniversary committee.<br \/>\nof the harbour when its 80th anniversary was celebrated in 1988 with a history exhibition<br \/>\nat Hafnarborg and the publication of a commemorative volume. Ludv\u00edk<br \/>\nhas knowledge of the operation and status of the Port of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur. During his career<br \/>\nLudwig has been involved in various media and programming roles, and has been involved in<br \/>\na wide range of projects in public administration, project management and consultancy. He<br \/>\nwas chairman of the Journalists' Association of Iceland for eleven years and executive and<br \/>\nHe was the company's managing director for a time.
