Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur is taking part in the municipalities' swimming competition, which takes place all week in <a href=\"\/en\/ibuar\/sports-and-outdoor-activities\/swimming-pools\/\">\u00c1svallalaug, Su\u00f0urb\u00e6jarlaug and the Swimming Pool<\/a>. Participants record how many metres are swum each day on a form available at reception. <a href=\"\/en\/ibuar\/sports-and-outdoor-activities\/swimming-pools\/\">the swimming pools<\/a> and thus register their journeys and take part on behalf of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur. We therefore encourage all residents to make their way to the pools and take part, but swimming training and school swimming do not count.<\/p>\n<p>Number&nbsp;<a href=\"\/en\/human-life\/utivist\/walking-and-cycling-routes\/\">Walking and cycling route<\/a>&nbsp;run through Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, which are ideal for outdoor activities for the whole family, and during Active Week you will be able to take part in a bike scavenger hunt around the town's recreational areas.  <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bokasafnhafnarfjardar.is\/\">The library<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>During Active Week, everyone should be able to find an activity to suit them. The outdoor recreational facilities in the vicinity of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur are unique, and we encourage residents to make use of the diverse outdoor areas for their health and wellbeing. For example, you could take the family to the mountain and walk up Helgafell, registering your name in the visitors\u201e book at the summit.
