The City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, \u00cdBH and the Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Swimming Club welcomed the swimming queen Hrafnhild L\u00fathersd\u00f3ttir from the Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Swimming Club at \u00c1svallalaug yesterday, 24th May. Hrafnhildur won two silver and one bronze medal at the European Swimming Championships in London last weekend and is now ranked among the world's top ten female swimmers. She will now resume her intensive training, with the Rio Olympic Games in August fast approaching.<\/p>\n
In recognition of this fantastic achievement and to support Hrafnhildur in her preparations for the Olympic Games, the City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur has decided to award her a performance grant of 750,000 kr.<\/p>\n
