A large number<br \/>\nindividuals, businesses, institutions and organisations have come together and<br \/>\nput together an ambitious and homely programme that appeals to everyone<br \/>\nof the family. Seafarers' Day holds a special place in the hearts of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur residents, after all.<br \/>\nThe story of the local seafarers is both rich and profound. &nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The people of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur have celebrated Seamen's Day ever since<br \/>\nSince 1953, and there's no intention of giving anything up for the celebrations.<br \/>\ndespite a reduction in ships at the harbour and a shift towards new employment sectors in the area. The harbour<br \/>\nhas changed from being bustling with life related to fish and fish processing to that of<br \/>\nbe bustling with a diverse arts and cultural life, as well as having a great deal of<br \/>\nSmall boats, kayaks and yachts are in the area. Thus, numerous artists have<br \/>\nset up workshops in Fornub\u00fa\u00f0ir by Flensburg Harbour, in addition to 28<br \/>\nThe workshops are now in the Icehouse in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur. The workshops will be held this weekend.<br \/>\nArtists open their studios to visitors, and you will also be able to see fish.<br \/>\nin baskets on the pier, looking at an art exhibition by the Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Folk Museum<br \/>\nrelated fishing in the exhibition hall of the Icehouse and take part in art workshops at<br \/>\nboth the Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Forestry Society, which works with material from H\u00f6f\u00f0ask\u00f3gur<br \/>\nand at Hafnarborg, where boats and rafts will be made.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Come home to<br \/>\nHafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A varied programme will be on offer at the Flensburg Harbour.<br \/>\nSaturday and Sunday, opening the festival site at 11 am on both days. Rescue team<br \/>\nHafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur offers, among other things, an ocean obstacle course, a water slide, and container sailing.,<br \/>\nclimbing, zip-lining, pillow fight and a rescue demonstration. The Sailing Club<br \/>\nThytir will be holding an open house and invites all interested parties to try out the rowing boats and<br \/>\nkayaking, as well as boat trips on canoes and keelboats. Then<br \/>\nThe Hraunpr\u00fd\u00f0i Lifeboat Station ensures that no one goes hungry.
