On 3rd July, 3SH will be holding its annual Triathlon Day from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. In previous years, the competition has been held entirely at the Vallasv\u00e6\u00f0i and on Kr\u00fdsuv\u00edkurvegur, but this year the race area will be expanded, creating an opportunity for more people to enjoy and take part. The competition will now extend into the centre of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, finishing there.<\/p>\n
There will be road closures and traffic delays in the competition area from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm this Sunday, to ensure the safety of everyone involved. The triathlon day begins at 8 a.m. at \u00c1svallalaug and finishes on Strandst\u00edg, opposite the sports hall on Strandgata, at 4 p.m. A marshalled cycle route will run from \u00c1svallalaug out to Kr\u00fdsuv\u00edkurveg and back, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The \u00c1sbraut northbound via \u00c1storg and Strandgata northbound to Fjar\u00f0artorg will be closed from 10:15 to 13:15. The bike-to-run transition area will be in the car park at Hafnarfjar\u00f0arkirkja, where part of the car park will be reserved for the competition. The running leg of the Triathlon Day will take place on Strandst\u00edg, where the prize-giving will also be held. The path will be closed to other traffic from 10:20 to 16:00 on the day of the competition.<\/p>\n

Traffic restrictions and road closures will be managed by staff from the City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, volunteers, and staff from 3SH.
