Awards will be presented for the tidiest property, the most beautiful garden, the most beautiful street and the tidiest business. The awards are based solely on nominations submitted, so residents, employees and others are encouraged to get actively involved.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Recently, the Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur town council agreed to re-establish a beautification committee, which has, among other things, the task of nominating properties, gardens and streets for awards for tidiness and appearance, thus setting a certain standard in this regard. both in residential and commercial areas.\u00a0 With this, the City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur aims to raise public interest in the beautification of the local environment by drawing attention to those who are considered exemplary in environmental matters within the town, and who should thus serve as an incentive for others to take action.\u00a0It is extremely important that residents and businesses are encouraged and rewarded for good upkeep and a tidy environment.\u00a0The selection for the awards in summer 2016 is based solely on submitted nominations, and residents, employees and other interested parties are therefore encouraged to take an active part.
