The pool was scheduled to open next Wednesday, but the opening will now be delayed until Saturday, 20th August. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Extensive maintenance work has been carried out at the Su\u00f0urb\u00e6jarlaug in recent days. The changing rooms have been refurbished, the outdoor pools are being painted, work is underway on repairing and painting the building's roof, and flooring has been replaced and repaired in several areas. Extensively, walls, benches and woodwork have been painted, and damage caused by leaks and damp has been repaired. When the water was drained from the water slide, unusual wear was discovered, which requires repair, as the plastic lining beneath the water level was deteriorating.
