As in previous years, an opportunity is provided
\nAn opportunity for curators to submit proposals for an exhibition at Hafnarborg
\nAutumn 2017. The exhibition Attempt
\n\u2013 clay and more <\/i>which is currently on display in the museum was selected from
\nremarkable proposals that were submitted last year. The aim of that
\nRequesting submissions is an opportunity to be selected for collaboration.
\na curator who submits an interesting proposal for an exhibition, but also that
\nbring new people into play. This is a particular way of ensuring that opportunities are provided.
\ncurators with a short career behind them. It has proven that there is every reason
\nis to maintain such a project, but from it, diverse have emerged
\nand interesting exhibitions that have attracted attention and been well attended.

\nThe deadline for submitting proposals is Sunday. 30 October 2016<\/b>.

\nIdeas are sought for exhibitions where the theme, working method or
\nother ideas connect the works of artists, but exhibitions that
\ninclude an analysis or insight into the work of a particular artist. Both are equally considered.
\nExhibitions of works by contemporary artists and exhibitions that include historical
\nanalysis.  
\n 
\nThe application process is two-part, and those who are interested in taking this on
\nProjects are encouraged to find out more about the project here.

\nIn 2011, the autumn exhibition series began with the exhibition For now<\/i> which was made by
\nIn 2012, an exhibition was set up for the anthropologist \u00d3l\u00f6f Ger\u00f0ur Sigf\u00fasd\u00f3ttir. Ski Area<\/i> in curation
\nGu\u00f0ni T\u00f3masson, art historian, and Anna Mar\u00eda Bogad\u00f3ttir, cultural studies scholar
\nand the architect won the exhibition References
\n\u2013 the houses in the house<\/i> in 2013. In 2014, Helga's idea was
\nTh\u00f3rsd\u00f3ttir, cultural scholar and visual artist, on the exhibition Channel<\/i> selected from interesting
\nproposals. In the autumn of 2015, it was the art historians A\u00f0alhei\u00f0ur Valgeirsd\u00f3ttir and
\nAld\u00eds Arnard\u00f3ttir with the exhibition The world
\nwithout our<\/i>  and this year, the proposal from the design duo TOS was selected.

\nAs before, the proposals came from people from various sectors, artists and
\nscholars from different fields, but also from people with specialist training in the field
\ncuratorship. With the autumn exhibition series, Hafnarborg aims to create a platform for
\ninteresting ideas so that the collection will be a platform where art can
\nsavour, shaped by diverse perspectives and themes. The exhibitions and
