{"id":13112,"date":"2016-08-30T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2016-08-30T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hafnarfjordur.is\/styrkir-vegna-namskostnadar\/"},"modified":"2022-10-25T08:59:39","modified_gmt":"2022-10-25T08:59:39","slug":"scholarships-for-tuition-costs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hafnarfjordur.is\/en\/styrkir-vegna-namskostnadar\/","title":{"rendered":"Financial aid for study costs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Grants for the educational costs and purchase of tools and equipment for disabled people<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur draws attention to the possibilities <u>people with disabilities<\/u> to apply for grants in accordance with Article 27 of the Act No. 59\/1992 on the affairs of disabled people.\u201e<i>Disability refers to the condition that arises when an individual requires long-term, comprehensive services and assistance due to a severe developmental disorder or another impairment of functioning.\u201c<\/i><\/p>\n<p>The Municipality of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur provides grants to disabled people for the payment of tuition fees that are not covered by other legislation, provided the course is considered to have value as training or rehabilitation.
