The National Reading Competition will continue to be based in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, where the competition began 20 years ago.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Municipality will assist Raddir with the running of the competition, as well as maintaining the website: <a href=\"http:\/\/upplestur.hafnarfjordur.is\/\">Reading.Hafnarfjordur.is<\/a>&nbsp;but representatives of Radda will handle the content uploads to the site. The contract is for one year. The agreement was signed by Fanney D. Halld\u00f3rsd\u00f3ttir, Director of Education and Leisure Services for the City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, and Ingibj\u00f6rg Einarsd\u00f3ttir, Chair of Radda and formerly Office Manager of Education and Leisure Services. \u00a0It is pleasing that Raddir and the City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur are continuing their formal collaboration on the largest development project in Icelandic primary schools, which began in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur's primary schools in 1996 at the instigation of Ingibj\u00f6rg.\u00a0At the same time, a separate agreement was made with Ingibjorg to continue to manage the running of the Little and Big Reading Competition in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur this school year, as she has done for the past 20 years.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Hafnarfjar\u00f0arkaupsta\u00f0ur ger\u00f0i \u00ed dag samning vi\u00f0 Raddir, samt\u00f6k um vanda\u00f0an upplestur og frams\u00f6gn, um samstarf um framkv\u00e6md St\u00f3ru upplestrarkeppninnar \u00e1 \u00cdslandi.
