It is hoped that residents<br \/>\nThe residents of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur and other visitors and passers-by can enjoy that beautiful Northern Lights display.<br \/>\nwhich is in tonight's cards.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Northern Lights have delighted us greatly in recent days and promise<br \/>\nThe aurora forecast for this evening is very good. We're taking the opportunity and have decided to<br \/>\nSwitch off street lighting in neighbourhoods west of Reykjanesbraut\/Fjar\u00f0arhraun between from 6 p.m.<br \/>\n22-23. Thus, there will be no street lighting in North Town, South Town, West Town, Hraunum, the town centre, on<br \/>\nharbour area and other hills, other than the description of Reykjanesbraut, Strandgata and<br \/>\nRoad to Reykjavik. <\/p>\n<p>Let's take this unique opportunity to enjoy a unique<br \/>\nLight displays with the family. We're keeping our fingers crossed and hoping the activity will be<br \/>\nGood for the hour that the streetlights will be switched off. We encourage residents to<br \/>\nto take part and switch off the lights in their homes at the same time, so as to achieve the greatest possible<br \/>\ndarkening and to keep light pollution to a minimum.&nbsp;<br \/>\nWe also urge residents to take extra care in traffic and to show<br \/>\nconsideration this hour.<\/p>\n<p>The police in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, the fire brigade, HS veitur and Str\u00e6t\u00f3 have been<br \/>\ninformed about the matter.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Let's enjoy the Northern Lights<br \/>\nin Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur this evening!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Photograph: <\/strong>Ragnar Th.
