They proved this this week when they visited the Red Cross in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur with an unexpected treat.<\/p>\n<p>The children had collected bottles to return for recycling, and the deposit totalled a whopping 25,068 kr\u00f3nur. The children felt this amount would be put to good use in Lebanon, where the Icelandic Red Cross supports a mobile health clinic. \u00a0The project provides essential and often life-saving healthcare to refugees living in Lebanon. The vast majority of them are from Syria. Currently, there are up to 1.5 million refugees from Syria living in Lebanon.
