\n Marketing Office of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur<\/a> which were awarded for the first time yesterday at the Ice Hall
\nHafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur at a ceremonial event in Hafnarborg. Annr\u00edki \u2013 National costumes and jewellery, and VON restaurant & bar.
\nalso received recognition.<\/em><\/p>\n

\nThe Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Icehouse received the award for having lifted
\nthe spirit of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur through its activities and events. The awards are
\nThe Marketing Agency's token of gratitude for selfless work in making
\nHafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur to a better society. That's Anna Mar\u00eda
\nKarlsd\u00f3ttir, an anthropologist, and \u00d3lafur Gunnar Sverrisson, a shipwright, who
\nrun by Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Icehouse, a community of ceramic, textile and product designers,
\nartists, industrial and craftspeople in an old, beautiful freezing works by
\nthe small boat harbour in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur. The Icehouse is a grassroots initiative.
\nbut the beginning can be traced to the fact that they wanted to explore whether there was a basis for
\nTo let out workspace and create a community of creative individuals, of sorts.
\nan incubator for entrepreneurs and innovation in Icelandic design. You could say it has worked.
\nbeyond all expectations, as the Ice House today houses the workspace for 45
\nartists who deal with different subjects. The advent of the Ice House has greatly
\nan attraction for the town, and the residents have welcomed the activity
\nas well as other domestic and international visitors who come on group visits to
\nto familiarise themselves with the work.<\/p>\n

Annr\u00edki \u2013 Traditional Costumes and Jewellery is run by \u00c1smundur
\nKristj\u00e1nsson, a machinist and goldsmith, and Gu\u00f0r\u00fan Hild<\/em> Rose-coloured,
\ntailors and dressmakers. They specialise in everything to do with Icelandic
\n the national costume, conducting research, and organising teaching and promotional events
\nall over the country. A busy schedule adds a fun and positive flavour to the town life, e.g. collections
\nthey together with 100 mountain nymphs on the Rock to
\ncommemorating the 100th anniversary of women's right to vote. Presented to the Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Museum of Local History and
\nThe Municipality of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur donated a costume to Rannveig Filipusd\u00f3ttir S\u00edvertsen in
\non the occasion of the anniversary of S\u00edvertsen, which the couple created in collaboration with the group Faldafreyjur.\n<\/p>\n

VON pub & bar is
\nrun by <\/strong>Einar Hjalti, who is
\na highly acclaimed chef with extensive experience in the kitchen and
\nKristjana \u00deura, who also has extensive experience in the catering and hotel industry. VON
\nis a small and ambitious, family-run restaurant by the harbour in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur which
\nplaces great emphasis on seasonal Icelandic cuisine and the use of raw materials. The concept
\nthe place can mainly be attributed to their burning interest and passion for cooking and
\nThere is a demand for a diverse local food culture. It is safe to say
