The 1500th meeting of the Harbour Board was held this morning. The first meeting of the \u201eHarbour Committee\u201c was held on the 9th.
\nSeptember 1909. The committee included Mayor Magn\u00fas J\u00f3nsson, Sigf\u00fas
\nBergmann and Gu\u00f0mundur Helgason, town councillors.
\nThe committee's first task was to prepare for the construction of a deep-water quay. It was fitting on the occasion of today's 1500th Harbour Board meeting that proposals for further harbour works, namely the so-called High Quay, which will run between \u00d3seyrarbryggja and Su\u00f0urbakki, in front of H\u00e1agrandi and Fornub\u00fa\u00f0ir, were presented.<\/p>\n
