The companies have obtained permission to carry out works throughout the town, and the works are to be advertised specifically by the companies in the relevant neighbourhoods. Road closures are announced separately if any are to take place. The scope of these projects is large and the duration of the works is usually long.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Attached is an overview of several neighbourhoods where development is currently underway:<\/h4>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p><strong>From 1 March to 1 May: &nbsp;<\/strong>\u00c1sland 2, Erlu\u00e1s, Kr\u00edu\u00e1s, Gauks\u00e1s, \u00derastar\u00e1s and Sv\u00f6lu\u00e1s<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong>From 27 February \u2013 27 April: &nbsp;<\/strong>\u00c1sland 1, Blika\u00e1s, L\u00f3u\u00e1s and Sp\u00f3a\u00e1s<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong>From 20 February \u2013 15 May:<\/strong> Coves from the Ring Road to the Reykjanes Peninsula<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong>From 13 February \u2013 13 April:<\/strong> The slopes of Setberg towards \u00dathl\u00ed\u00f0. Such as L\u00e6kjarberg and Lindarberg.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong>From 15 February \u2013 15 November: &nbsp;<\/strong>The town centre and the lava fields. The area is from Flatahrauni to L\u00e6kjargata.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<p><strong>From 15 March \u2013 15 November:<\/strong> North and West Bays of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur. The entire area west of Reykjav\u00edkurveg.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>For information \u2013 some general points about planning permission<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>The licence holder shall install traffic signs in accordance with the Road Traffic Act and regulations and\/or as directed by the Environmental and Planning Services of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Municipality.<\/li>\n<li>The licence holder ensures that the works do not pose a danger to road users (driving, walking or cycling).<\/li>\n<li>Traffic delays are expected to be kept to a minimum and the works are to be completed on schedule.<\/li>\n<li>An application for a permit to carry out works must be submitted at least 3 working days before the works are due to start.<\/li>\n<li>The permit holder shall return the work area to its original condition within 15 working days of the work's completion, and all reinstatement work shall be carried out by a professional. Particular attention is drawn to the fact that the choice of materials and the thickness of the surfacing must be comparable to the original.
