The proposals put forward at the 2017 Youth Parliament were discussed at the tea party, along with the situation of young people in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur. The Youth Council held the parliament at the end of January under the slogan: New Year! A New Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur. The aim of the tea party was to get a better feel for the ideas that came up at the youth parliament, to discuss their potential and ways forward with the view of developing them further before the ideas are formally presented to the town council and, subsequently, to the various councils of the City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur. A formal presentation of the proposals and ideas will take place at Hafnarborg in early June.<\/p>\n<p>Three topics were particularly chosen: Education, prevention, and planning\/environment, and finally social life and culture. Attached are ideas that emerged at the meeting of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur's youth, which are currently being discussed and further developed for presentation.<\/p>\n<h4>Prevention and environment<strong>fiddle<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>more rubbish bins<\/li>\n<li>Carbon tax on heavy industry<\/li>\n<li>School bus<\/li>\n<li>Something for the youth section<\/li>\n<li>Lectures. People who come and educate us (sex, drugs)<\/li>\n<li>Nurse giving out free condoms<\/li>\n<li>have locked bins in the KVK toilets for sanitary towels and tampons<\/li>\n<li>Have sanitary towels and a tampon to hand.<\/li>\n<li>Get a school fitness trail on the school grounds.<\/li>\n<li>Let both sexes be together in workshops.<\/li>\n<li>more curriculum based on personal opinions rather than facts<\/li>\n<li>Talk more about anxiety and depression. Get someone with experience to come into the schools.<\/li>\n<li>Wi-Fi on the bus<\/li>\n<li>Talk more about puberty!<\/li>\n<li>have more condom education<\/li>\n<li>Throw in the rubbish!<\/li>\n<li>Lectures on prevention<\/li>\n<li>Free sanitary towels and tampons in public toilets<\/li>\n<li>free sanitary towels, tampons and condoms!<\/li>\n<li>Tampon and sanitary pad dispenser<\/li>\n<li>free condoms<\/li>\n<li>Free sanitary towels in all schools. Talk to Str\u00e6t\u00f3.<\/li>\n<li>More bus stops on the hill<\/li>\n<li>More lampposts are needed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Education<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Healthier food at school<\/li>\n<li>to have a fruit bar during break time<\/li>\n<li>rest time<\/li>\n<li>Stop with the School Dinners<\/li>\n<li>Learn more about computers<\/li>\n<li>new ball<\/li>\n<li>iPads to school<\/li>\n<li>Rest time<\/li>\n<li>Play lots of music during breaks\/meals<\/li>\n<li>Better chairs<\/li>\n<li>Less homework<\/li>\n<li>Update the toilets<\/li>\n<li>Better social life in schools<\/li>\n<li>Do something about the lack of space at Hraunvallar School.<\/li>\n<li>Better sofa in L\u00e6kj\u00f3<\/li>\n<li>Optional school swimming for Year 9 and above<\/li>\n<li>&nbsp;Fewer tests! More projects!<\/li>\n<li>Self-defence taught in school<\/li>\n<li>Go over the exam material more thoroughly!<\/li>\n<li>more comfortable sofa<\/li>\n<li>A more varied salad bar<\/li>\n<li>Better teaching in lessons<\/li>\n<li>Music production as an elective<\/li>\n<li>Primary schools teach what's needed, things you can actually use in life.
