The swimming pools in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur will be open on Red Days over the Easter holiday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It has been decided to keep the swimming pools in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur open over the Easter period, which is a change from what has been the case until now. On Good Friday, the Su\u00f0urb\u00e6r Pool will be open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.<\/em><\/strong> and on Easter Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at \u00c1svallalaug. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The opening hours at the swimming pools in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur are generally as follows. The Sundh\u00f6llin is open from 6:30 am to 9 pm every weekday. The Su\u00f0urb\u00e6r Pool is open on weekdays from 6:30 am to 9 pm, Saturdays from 8 am to 6 pm, and Sundays from 8 am to 5 pm. \u00c1svallalaug is open from 6:30 am to 9 pm every weekday, 8 am to 6 pm on Saturdays, and 8 am to 5 pm on Sundays.<\/p>\n

An ambitious health strategy for the health town of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur<\/strong><\/p>\n

Increased access to Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur's swimming pools is among the priorities in the recent Health Strategy for Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur and its action plan. One of the main objectives of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur's health strategy is to nurture the general well-being of residents, both mental and physical, at all ages, and to strengthen and promote self-esteem and good mental health. Among other things, it is proposed to increase cooperation with voluntary organisations, professionals, enthusiasts and the health service for health promotion and well-being, and to increase the provision of information regarding services available in this area. A collaborative platform will be established for the relevant parties, with the participation of the Youth Council, the Elderly Council, the Advisory Council, the Newcomers' Council and the Neighbourhood Council, where, among other things, work will be carried out on protective factors against anxiety and distress. The health strategy supports the City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur's vision for the future of increasing the well-being of its residents through preventative measures. Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur is a great town for swimming, and many of the country's leading swimmers come from there, for example Hrafnhildur L\u00fathersd\u00f3ttir and \u00d6rn Arnarson, who both swam for the Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Swimming Club.<\/p>\n
