{"id":13387,"date":"2017-06-29T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2017-06-29T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hafnarfjordur.is\/90-aukning-i-solu-gestakorta\/"},"modified":"2022-10-25T09:00:24","modified_gmt":"2022-10-25T09:00:24","slug":"90-increase-in-the-number-of-guest-cards-in-circulation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hafnarfjordur.is\/en\/90-aukning-i-solu-gestakorta\/","title":{"rendered":"90% increase in Guest Card sales"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Capital Region Agency publishes <a href=\"https:\/\/reykjavik.is\/frettir\/gestakort-reykjavikur-nyrri-glaesilegri-vefsidu\">Reykjavik Guest Card<\/a> (<a href=\"http:\/\/visitreykjavik.is\/city\/reykjavik-city-card\">Reykjavik City Card<\/a>) but in the first six months<br \/>\nYear-on-year, sales on the cards were 90% higher compared to the same period last year.<br \/>\nThat is a much greater increase in sales than in the flow of tourists to the country at a similar time.<br \/>\ntime, but according to data from the Tourist Board, there was a 47% increase in departures from the country.<br \/>\nat Leif Erikson Airport for the first five months of the year, compared with the previous year<br \/>\nThe card is sold in nearly 50 locations that cater to tourists.<br \/>\nin the capital region, but the Tourist Information Centre in the Town Hall is the largest<br \/>\nPoint of sale for the card.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Guest Card Holders<br \/>\nis granted access to twelve main museums in Reykjav\u00edk, the Zoo and<br \/>\nVi\u00f0ey ferry. Cardholders also get unlimited access to the city's swimming pools and bus service.<br \/>\nThe card also provides, among other things, a discount on the price of admission to restaurants, museums,<br \/>\nshops and swimming pools of other municipalities in the Capital Region.
