To mark the occasion, the theme is<b><i> A selection of the best<\/i><\/b>, selected locations from other games as well as an add-on. Gu\u00f0ni G\u00edslason is developing the game for the 10th time, but it is H\u00f6nnunarh\u00fasi\u00f0 ehf. that is managing the release in collaboration with the City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur. The aim of the game is to encourage outdoor activities and nature observation in the diverse uplands of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur. The game also extends into the neighbouring municipality of Gar\u00f0ab\u00e6r, as the two municipalities share a long history.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<h4>Orienteering in the countryside and in town<\/h4>\n<p>The game involves searching for 27 geocaches which have been placed all over the countryside and even in town. To help, participants have a detailed aerial map showing their location, along with information about each site. The caches can be searched for in any order. The game is divided into three categories: 1). Lightfoot, 2). Hiker and 3). Trailblazer, and those who find 9, 18 or all of the markers will become Lightfoot, Hiker or Trailblazer. Winners will be drawn from the submitted entries, with three winners in each category. Additionally, several further prizes will be drawn from all entries, but to be in with a chance of winning, you must attend the harvest festival in the autumn.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><b>The maps can be obtained at the following locations:&nbsp;<\/b><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Town Hall \u2013 Customer Service<\/li>\n<li>Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Library<\/li>\n<li>Fjar\u00f0arkaupum<\/li>\n<li>South Bay Swimming Pool<\/li>\n<li>\u00c1svallalaug<\/li>\n<li>\u00c1svellir<\/li>\n<li>Music and sport<\/li>\n<li>The Mountain Cabin<\/li>\n<li>Altis<\/li>\n<li>The burger<\/li>\n<li>...and even further afield!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/p>\n<h4>Enjoy, don't rush<\/h4>\n<\/p>\n<p>Remember that there is always something more exciting near the orienteering stations, as the aim of the game is to lead participants far and wide across the Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur uplands and enjoy the great outdoors and nature. \u00a0Participants are encouraged not to forget to enjoy the journey to the markers and to take their time at them and their surroundings. As before, it is not permitted to move the markers or to publish photos of them where the solution words are visible.
