The City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur is seeking nominations from residents and other interested parties for awards for the tidiness and beauty of properties, gardens and streets in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur. Awards will be presented for the tidiest property, the most beautiful garden, the most beautiful street and the tidiest business. The awards are based solely on nominations submitted, so residents, employees and others are encouraged to get actively involved.<\/i><\/p>\n
The Beautification Committee has, among other things, the task of nominating properties, gardens and streets for awards for tidiness and appearance, thereby setting a certain standard in this matter, in both residential and commercial areas.\u00a0 The City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur wishes to draw public attention to the beautification of its environment by highlighting those who set an example in environmental matters within the town. They are thus intended to encourage others to take similar action.\u00a0It is extremely important that residents and businesses alike are encouraged and rewarded for their good stewardship and a tidy environment. <\/p>\n
The selection for the 2017 summer awards is based solely on submitted nominations, and residents, staff and other interested parties are therefore encouraged to take an active part. The awards will be presented at a ceremony at the \u00de\u00f6ll Nursery on Kald\u00e1rselsveg at the end of August. <\/p>\n
The deadline for submitting nominations is until Tuesday, 8 August 2016.<\/b><\/p>\n
