This year, it is none other than Laddi, \u00de\u00f3rhallur Sigur\u00f0sson, who will share his memories of Christmas as a young boy in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, light the Christmas tree and count down to a few Christmas songs.<\/p>\n<p>The Christmas Village will be open every Saturday and Sunday during Advent from 12 pm to 5 pm, and until 10 pm on Christmas Eve. Please note that Strandgatan, from L\u00e6kjargata to Reykjav\u00edkurvegur, is closed while the Christmas Village is open.<\/p>\n<p>Visitors to this year's Christmas Village can walk between twenty beautifully decorated Christmas houses, which have become a nationally renowned marketplace for a variety of gifts, handicrafts and design, ideal for putting in a Christmas stocking, along with delicious food and products to take home for the festive table.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Museum of Local History is hosting a photography exhibition in the Christmas village, featuring 40 photographs that offer a delightful insight into life in the town from the mid-20th century.
