Regarding the report in Fr\u00e9ttabla\u00f0i\u00f0 yesterday, Friday, 19 January, it is correct that a few
\nPlots in Skar\u00f0shl\u00ed\u00f0 have been returned to the town, but the largest part of them
\nhas gone to the allocation of those who were on the waiting list for plots in the neighbourhood. They
\nParties who have returned plots have mainly cited two reasons. On the one hand
\nthat funding for the relevant project had not been successful and, on the other hand, that
\nuncertainty that has arisen due to a complaint procedure that is currently under consideration concerning
\nLandsnet's transmission of the Hamranes line, which crosses the Skar\u00f0shl\u00ed\u00f0ar neighbourhood.<\/p>\n

The mayor drew attention to the matter at open meetings in the autumn. <\/p>\n
The situation regarding the lines and the submission of plots for them is
\na position that the Mayor of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur himself has been drawing attention to
\nsince last autumn at information meetings regarding the planned relocation of the line. They
\nMeetings were held by Landsnet with the local councils of K\u00f3pavogur and Gar\u00f0ab\u00e6r there.
\nthe position of the transport lines and that process has been discussed, but that process
\nhas met with opposition from the Friends of the Lava Fields, among others. The town authorities are therefore grateful.
\nThe newspaper draws attention to how urgent it is for the Hamranes Line to be moved. <\/p>\n

Agreements must stand<\/p>\n
Residents, operators and the City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur have invested and
\nis investing tens of billions in the Skar\u00f0shl\u00ed\u00f0arhverfi district. This autumn, construction began
\nSkar\u00f0shl\u00ed\u00f0arsk\u00f3li, which is at once a primary school, a music school and a nursery school that
\nis being carried out at a cost of almost four billion kronor.
\nIt is therefore an absolutely intolerable situation for the future residents of the neighbourhood, residents in
\nneighbouring areas and local authorities having to tolerate repeated changes to
\nthis process which, according to the initial agreements, was supposed to have long since been completed. <\/p>\n
It is therefore extremely important that the commitment is upheld.
\nthe current agreement between Landsnet and the City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur on removal
\nthe line and that it leaves the neighbourhood as soon as possible. The current agreement provides for
\nso that it will be by the end of the year.<\/p>\n
