The idea is that residents can get most services in<br \/>\na five-minute walk from the centre of the neighbourhood. In Hraun-Vestur will bid<br \/>\na new tone in planning matters, with an emphasis on good mixing<br \/>\nresidential areas, services, light industry, shops,<br \/>\nschool, day-care and leisure areas. Car parks and car parks buildings<br \/>\nwill largely be beneath the built-up area, and exciting designs are being developed for the streetscape.<br \/>\non a Nordic model.
