Councillors of the Independence Party and the Progressive Party
\nand independent parties in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur have reached an agreement to form a majority in
\nThe town council. The partnership is based on a programme for government which will be presented in more detail at
\nthe first meeting of the new town council at 17:00 today.<\/p>\n
\u00c1g\u00fast Bjarni Gar\u00f0arsson will be chairman of the town council and
\nKristinn Andersen will become the mayor and then R\u00f3sa
\nGu\u00f0bjartsd\u00f3ttir, leader of the Independence Party and outgoing chair of the town council, mayor<\/p>\n
The policy agreement of the new majority states, among other things: <\/p>\n

\nThe City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur provides residents and businesses with a wide range of services.
\ntag. Emphasis will be placed on further strengthening this aspect of the operation,
