\nThe Culture and Tourism Committee of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur has now completed the allocation of this year's cultural grants.
\n2018. Thirteen projects receive a grant this time; individuals,
\ncultural groups or organisations that all have in common a connection to Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur
\nin one way or another. Grants from the Cultural and Tourism Committee of the City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur
\nare awarded twice a year to parties and projects that are likely to
\nto further enrich and deepen the town's cultural life. The formal presentation of the grants will take place
\nuntil 27 November, when a grant from the Fridrik's Fund will be received.

Allocation
\nThe City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur grant is based on an assessment of applications. Cultural events,
\nArtists, charities or organisations applying for a grant must be connected to
\nin Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur in some way. Here, for example, permanent residence is considered to mean that
\nan event\/project takes place in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur and\/or that the project involves
\npromotion of cultural activities in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur. The total amount of grants in this allocation
\nis kr. 2,595,000. In total, kr. 8,000,000 has then been allocated in grants to
\nCultural affairs of the year.<\/p>\n
