Some ice has been forming on roads, footpaths and car parks all over town in recent days, and it's clear that snow and ice will become more common in the coming weeks and months. The City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur's Service Centre is on duty almost around the clock for salting and gritting, but that is not always enough.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Further information on gritting and snow clearance, procedures and route priorities can be found <a class=\"internal\" href=\"\/en\/ibuar\/samgongur\/snow-removal\/\">Here<\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Sand is available at Nor\u00f0urhellu 2<\/h3>\n<p>Residents of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur can still collect sand from the Service Centre at Nor\u00f0urhellu 2. The only change is that residents must now provide their own container (a reusable bag, bucket, or tub) for the sand. In recent years, plastic bags and shovels have been available on site, but from now on, only sand and a shovel will be provided.
