Draft budget for the municipality of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur for the year
\nThe 2019 budget and the 4-year plan 2019-2022 will be presented to the town council for first reading.

In the budget
\nFor the year 2019, the property tax levy rate will be lowered, and these are the
\nReaction to a significant year-on-year increase in the calculated property valuation in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur.
\nThus, the property tax rate for commercial property is reduced from 1.57% to
\n1.401% and property tax on residential property from 0.281% to 0.261%. The council tax rate
\nwill remain at 14.48% but it was lowered from 14.52% in 2017. Sibling discount on
\nNursery school fees increase, and the third sibling in primary school receives free school meals.<\/p>\n
The operation of the City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur has gone well in recent years.
\nThe budget provides for a continued positive operating result.
\nto 985 million kr\u00f3na in 2019, but it is estimated at 798 million kr\u00f3na on
\nin 2018. The debt ratio continues to fall and will be in line with the plan.

\nFor 2019, continued development in the town and increased services are announced.
\nfor residents in all areas of the municipality. The number of social housing units will continue to be increased systematically.

\ndevelop and establish new early intervention services, but work has been carried out on
\nthe project throughout 2018. The project is about finding ways to improve
\nsocial, educational and mental health services for the town's nursery and primary school children
\nand their families. Full-time equivalent posts of psychologists to provide services for nursery and
