The little<br \/>\nThe beautifully decorated Christmas houses in the Christmas Village in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur have become nationally renowned.<br \/>\nA marketplace for various gifts, crafts and design, ideal for<br \/>\nto put in the Christmas package along with a delicious treat to eat on the premises and\/or take away<br \/>\nto take home to the festive table. The Christmas Village will be open from 12-17 every Saturday.<br \/>\nand Sundays in Advent, and the lighting ceremony takes place from 6 pm to 8 pm on<br \/>\nFriday evening, 30th November.<\/p>\n<p><b><br \/>\nThe Christmas Village is celebrating its fifteenth anniversary this year with a spectacular programme.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>This weekend, the Christmas adventure begins in the Christmas Village at Thorsplan and<br \/>\nStrandgatan in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur will be bustling with people and a true Christmas spirit and<br \/>\ntransforms into a pedestrian street during the village's opening hours. Santa Clauses make an extra trip to<br \/>\nbuilt to play with the children. The Christmas village in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur is now celebrating in<br \/>\ncelebrating its 15th anniversary with a varied programme when the lights are switched on<br \/>\nThe Cuxhaven Christmas tree on Friday evening. The Christmas tree is a gift from the twin town of Cuxhaven in<br \/>\nGermany, but this year the twin towns are celebrating 30 years of partnership. The twinning associations<br \/>\nhave been a driving force in partnership and cooperation in the fields of business and culture,<br \/>\nSports and Youth. The Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Brass Band and the Threstir Male Choir perform<br \/>\nsome Christmas songs and there will be a selection of the best on offer in<br \/>\nB\u00e6jarb\u00ed\u00f3 in December with Fri\u00f0rik D\u00f3r, Bubbi, J\u00f3hanna Gu\u00f0r\u00fan and Dav\u00ed\u00f0<br \/>\nSigurgeirsson takes the song<i>. Over these 15 years, the Christmas Village has grown in size<br \/>\nand over the years have managed to captivate the entire nation and, increasingly, the tourists who<br \/>\nchoose to return home. The people of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur themselves have also started to make use of<br \/>\nthe opportunity and the platform for home visits during Advent. Thus, whole groups gather<br \/>\nthe extended families and groups of friends in the centre of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, popping into shops, on<br \/>\nan art exhibition, in the little Christmas houses or the town's museums specifically to have it<br \/>\nCosy at Christmas\u201c<\/i> says Andri \u00d3marsson, project manager of the Christmas Village in<br \/>\nHafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, where he is in charge of the programme and organisation of the Christmas Village in<br \/>\nin collaboration with a number of companies, organisations and individuals. <i>\u201eIt creates<br \/>\nA unique and homely Christmas atmosphere in the centre of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur during Advent.<br \/>\nPeople come here to enjoy themselves, relax and have fun.
