At Hvaleyrarsk\u00f3li, as in other schools in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, the Grand Reading Competition was held. The school's literacy team decided to take the opportunity to place a strong emphasis on the beautiful Icelandic language for one week, concluding it this morning with a school assembly where the song \u201e\u00c1 \u00edslensku m\u00e1 alltaf finna svar\u201c by \u00de\u00f3rarinn Eldj\u00e1rn was sung. The singer Gu\u00f0r\u00fan \u00c1rn\u00fd took part in the performance of the song with the group.<\/p>\n<h4>Among other things, the following was covered at Hvaleyrarsk\u00f3li this week:&nbsp;<\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All the teachers chose a word, proverb or idiom of the day, which they wrote with a felt-tip pen inside a speech bubble placed on the door of their classroom.
