From 1 January 2019, a change was introduced to the meal charge for families with school-age children in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur. The meal charge is waived if there are more than two school-age children in the same family enrolled in the meal scheme.<\/em> Removal of the meal charge from the eldest sibling's meal plan, which happens automatically when a family shares the same address and family number in the National Register. <\/em><\/p>\n

In some cases, the family structure is more complex than can be covered by the legal address and family number in the National Register. In such cases, guardians must apply for the discount with an appropriate explanation of their family circumstances at My Pages<\/a>.<\/strong>  Children can never be double-counted when they are part of more than one family, for example, when children are in the joint custody of two families. The discount takes effect from the moment the application is received.<\/p>\n

Rules for the cancellation of the food charge<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

    If two or more siblings with their registered address in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur
    \nChildren of primary school age are offered a 25% discount on lunch by the City of Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur for a second sibling.
    \nand a 100% discount from the third sibling onwards on the primary school subscription. Sibling
    \nare students who share the same home address and family number in the national register.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n

    If two or more siblings are present, all, or at least two, must be booked for lunch for the charge to be waived. A guardian\/carer pays the full price for the youngest sibling's lunch, but a 25% discount is given for a second sibling and a 100% discount for any further siblings of primary school age at the same time.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n
