{"id":13730,"date":"2019-02-06T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2019-02-06T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hafnarfjordur.is\/dagur-leikskolans-2019\/"},"modified":"2022-10-25T09:01:21","modified_gmt":"2022-10-25T09:01:21","slug":"nursery-school-day-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hafnarfjordur.is\/en\/dagur-leikskolans-2019\/","title":{"rendered":"Nursery School Day 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Today, 6th February, is Nursery School Day and to mark the occasion, nursery activities in the town have a festive feel.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Mayor R\u00f3sa Gu\u00f0bjartsd\u00f3ttir visited H\u00f6r\u00f0uvellir, the town's oldest nursery school, this morning, but its history dates back to 1935 when the women's trade union Framt\u00ed\u00f0in began its activities at H\u00f6r\u00f0uvellir. The mayor took part in a singing session for the occasion and visited all four of the nursery's departments. The children were very enthusiastic about their guest, but some had told their parents about the \u201eCEO\u201c was coming to visit, but others preferred to call her \u201emayor\u201c, like Mayor Bl\u00ed\u00f0a in Adventure Bay, whom many clearly recognise from the television programme The Paw Patrol.<\/p>\n<p>In Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur, there are seventeen nurseries and throughout the town, activities are held for the occasion.
